The Very Hungry CaterpillarThis is one of my favorite books written by Eric Carle. I am fascinated with the way how he made this book. With vivid pictures, it tells children how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. Children are so excited when it comes to this party:” Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and…he was a beautiful butterfly!" Meanwhile, they learn the days of week and some common food.
My children love this book! It is good for teaching a variety of skills like the life cycle, colors, numbers, days of the week, sequence, and so much more. Excellent book choice.
